This will allow you to drive the Raptor at high volume levels whilst keeping the gain low for clean and loud audio quality.   17. Q What is the max DB of this bad boy?
    A I don't have a decibel meter, but I can tell you two things: 1) dB is measured at various distances. Most speakers are measured at loudness @ 5m (roughly 16ft). 2) I can tell you that at the loudest "clear" volume (about 90% or so before the distortion sets in), at that distance, you're not going to be having conversations with anyone. It's obnoxiously loud within 25 feet. I don't think I've ever used it for any length of time over 40% volume.

  30. Q I want to use this in my Mastercraft boat. Will this be loud enough to hear music over the motor?
    A Don't know how loud your motor is but this is as loud a battery powered boombox as you can get. I use it in a warehouse sort facility which gets pretty loud I think it will be fine
  31. Q when charging the raptor with 110 a/c power and the unit is charged can i leave it pluged in to the 110 a/c power source.
    A I’m sure you can, if you’re worried about damage to your raptor. But as far as of any battery-operated apparatus, the battery has a life expectancy based upon the charges it receives. I’ve had mine a little longer than a year and I make it a point to disconnect the unit once it’s fully charged. So far so good and no complaints about decreased battery performance.

    A the raptor also includes 12v charger for in-vehicle battery maintenance. Build and sound quality are very similar excpet for the additional rubber like protection on the raptor. The Pathfinder has bass boost - Raptor does not.

    A It does great! We just spent 3 days at the beach and the speaker got slightly splashed a couple of times and it also got rained on. No problems. The best thing is the battery lasted over 10 hours at full volume and was able to keep my phone charged while streaming music.
